Haystack Mountain Creamery located in Longmont, Coloradoproduces delicious varieties of artisanal goat cheese. We especially love the Chile Jack – A Monterey Jack style cheese with roasted mild green chilies. Try it in a quesadilla with a squeeze of lime topped with sour cream and cilantro.
Avalanche Cheese Company creamery, located inBasalt, Colorado makes spectacular cheese using milk from their Farm and Dairy in Paonia. Our favorite here is Truffled Honey and Lemon Chevre Spread – Fresh Chevre scented with a hint of white truffle oil and mixed with local, organic honey and lemon zest. Try our Medjool Date Bite recipe using this delicious cheese.
Pappardelle’s Pasta located in Denver, Colorado makes over 100 varieties of wonderful artisanal dried pastas and hand crafted fresh-frozen ravioli, sauces and pestos. Their flavors are deliciously unique and we especially love the Lemon Garlic Orzo, check back for recipe’s using this amazing product.
Aspen Kettle Corn was started in 2003 by two grade school teachers. Their vision: keep things simple, have fun and make unbelievable popcorn, which they do! Pepper and I buy a medium size bag every Saturday and do our best to make it last all week, sadly it never does.
Zephyros is a small family farm located on the Western Slope of Colorado in the North Fork Valley. They grow Certified Organic vegetables and flowers and are dedicated to promoting biodiversity. They also have a berry patch that includes blackberries, raspberries, strawberries, elderberries, aronia, currants, gooseberries, and serviceberries.
Aspen Brownie Works located in Aspen, Colorado is the yum child of Jill and Jim Pomeroy. They combine simple, quality ingredients to create melt in your mouth brownies.
These are just some of many farms, purveyors and artisans at the Aspen Saturday Market, come by and enjoy them all from coffee, to local beef, sun hats and even custom bicycles from Re-Cycle Art Aspen.
