Some friends recommended Honu in Maui and what a recommendation it was. Owners, Chef Mark Ellman and his wife Judy have created a gem. The food was amazing, creative and fresh; the 180 degree view of the Pacific Ocean and the island’s of Lanai and Molokai amazing. Our only problem was that we did not have room to graze through more of the menu and thus enjoy the view for the entire day.
The staff takes the restaurant’s motto “Practice Aloha” to heart, they are very nice and very professional. Mark is also one of 12 chef’s that formed the Hawaii Regional Cuisine Movement. A sincere thank you to Karen who graciously sat us without a reservation and Monica who mad us one of the best cocktails we have ever had.
