Capri (/kəˈpriː/; Italian pronunciation: [ˈkaːpri]) is an island in the Tyrrhenian Sea off the Sorrentine Peninsula, on the south side of the Gulf of Naples in the Campania region of Italy. The main town on the island shares the name. It has been a resort since the time of the Roman Republic.
Words are not enough to describe the beauty of our day. We rented a private boat for the day complete with captain to take us along the coast to Capri and back.
We discovered, grottos, private villas and even a private island. When we arrived in Capri we took the funicular up to the main square and navigated the small cobble stone streets, accessible only to pedestrian traffic and small electric carts; to the most spectacular shops anywhere in the world. After spending the morning in Capri we took the boat to a small private island for lunch overlooking the water. Amalfi will never seem real until you see it for yourself.
